"I want people to fall in love with themselves and to be really proud and full of joy for the space they take up."

-Jonathan Van Ness

The real reason I do photography.

Sometimes, I don't feel like I belong in the wedding industry. I never dreamed about my wedding day as a kid. I never believed your wedding should be the single most important day of your life, and I scoffed at most traditions wrapped up in the industry that tell couples they have to put aside their own identities (and occasionally even their values) to be married.

More importantly, I understand how stressful this time can be. A time that is meant to be about celebrating the kind of love you've worked so hard to attain often becomes about a million other things: money, family dynamics, tradition, and popular trends to name a few.

It probably goes without saying that I never thought I'd be a wedding photographer. So, why am I here? The world is on fire literally and metaphorically, and we need an excuse to party, people! (That was mostly a joke). But in all seriousness, I know how hard life is. I know how hard you worked to get where you are. And I know there are people like me out there: people who wonder if they belong here, if they can get married and have it feel authentically them. The answer is: yes. And I'm here to document every moment of your unique love story.
