Gillian and Sonia wanted a small wedding with a laidback feel, and they definitely achieved that! They chose Patapsco Valley State Park, the location of their first date, for their venue. Lavish florals, a fireplace, lawn games, hot cider served during the ceremony, cornhole boards instead of a guest book, and beautiful woods as a backdrop made this wedding day so unique, rustic, and cozy!
One of the things I really loved the most about Sonia and Gillian was how aligned we were. They chose inclusive businesses for their outfits; Loud Bodies is sustainable and ethically sourced, Kirrin Finch makes nonbinary suits, and Automic Gold identifies themselves as queer-owned and practices inclusive hiring for their models. Sonia is vegan just like me, so they also had lots of plant-based food options and even a vegan wedding cake! Very exciting. (Links to all these businesses provided in vendor list after gallery.)
